I've been taking a few days off from the track, but will be back over there for a few days as from Thursday.
As so many people were so happy with the way the track surface handled, we wont have to do any major lifting of the astro to improve the ground under it, we can just keep it decent by rolling it regularly to keep them pesky Moles that cause so much of the tracks problems at bay.
What we do need to do is continue with the repairs to the worn astro turf, and sort out all the damaged barrier boards that can cause damage to drivers cars.
So, what we will try is this work session before racing starts (for those who want/can do) as well as a work session at the end of racing, (again for those who want/can do)
What we need to be doing is: 1/ Improving the astro surface.
2/ We can try flipping the barriers over to expose the undamaged ends of the boards, replacing any that have bad rear strimmer damage. This should give the barrier boards a new lease of life and put off the expense of covering them for a while.
3/ Get the Big Triple bed Mower sorted out so it can be used to cut the large areas of grass.
4/ The Roller engine needs an overhaul as its started leaking oil.
and
5/ Lay the slab path way to the rostrum steps before we turn the grass into mud. all the slabs and sand are there, and the soil dug out goes on the track.
6/ Build the mini track in the corner of the track's outfield.

Callum and I will be down an hour before racing starts so he can set up the computer.
I will do some track work whilst he's doing that, I will bring a cordless Screwdriver with me. Anything else required?

No, a screwdriver will do you fine Nathan, many thanks. A couple more with screwdrivers and you can make a big difference in even half an hour.
