NOTE NEW RACE DATES FROM AUGUST
We will be getting the date set up on the new web site as soon as we can, but these are the dates for the summer session:
April 7th. Shake down race.
April 21st. Rd. 1 Of the Summer Championship.
May 5th. Rd. 2
May 19th Rd. 3
June 2nd Rd. 4
June 16th Rd. 5
June 30th, Helston Car show.
July 7th OPEN DAY. Open to all comers, what ever you drive.
July 13&14th Kernow Old Vehicle Club Rally. (thats a good show)
July 21st Rd. 6
Aug 2nd, 3rd, & 4th. A 3 day event with the Redruth Flying club at their Hells mouth site.
Aug 11th Rd. 7 (was the 18th)
Aug 25th LSOR National
Sep 8th Rd. 8 (was the 1st)
Sep 22nd OPEN DAY. To welcome new drivers to the club ready for the winter session. (was the 15th)

There have been a few changes to the Race date from next month. This has been done for various reasons,
Namely:
> So CRCR race meets again coincide with the dog clubs being on site, meaning the on site catering can cater for both clubs at the same time, making it more profitable, and less cleaning of the toilet block with it only being used every other weekend.
> Some drivers who would like to come back racing with us have not been able to do so due to work commitments clashing with the race dates.
> shifting the race date clears the weekend before the LSOR National, so any necessary track work can be carried out as
agreed.
> Race dates were originally set not to clash with Plymouth RC, so the North Cornwall drivers would not be have to choose where to race, But as we don't seem to be getting the North Cornwall drivers at the track anyway, we feel it is better to concentrate on our local drivers, giving them a chance to race at which ever track they wish, by not having the dates clashing with the other local track.
We hope that these changes will help the majority of the drivers, and hope that everybody is able to accommodate the changes without too much of a problem.

Hi Sprig,
As you know I have not had chance to race the whole year yet due to work commitments. The last chance I had, it was cancelled due to the weather forecast !
This comming August looked brilliant as there were three meetings in a row and I could attend all of them.
Now I will only get one chance and thats the national, hardly a good meeting to attend when I have not had chance to use the car since last year.
These changes may suite some,
But definitely not all,
I can understand your reasons, but I am well dissapointed.
Any one want to buy a car ?

Quite understand your disappointment Chee, but we have to try something to keep the club growing, at the moment the people we are pleasing, are doing very little to help the club, which is not the way this club was suppose to run.
Saying that, If we don't see some positive action from the drivers this Sunday about the LSOR weekend, in August, we may yet have to pull the plug on it. The few people who are breaking there backs keeping the club and events running at the moment are not physically able to do all that is required, and have no intention of doing so.
Its now up to ALL the drivers who said they wanted the LSOR national, to step forward and do what needs doing.

Sprig,
I can help when I am back in the UK just over a week before the national, but cant offer much more due to work.
Let me know what we need to do as I wont be at a meeting before then.
